The Bergel Institute is growing, and we are looking to hire individuals for two new positions: Marketing and Development Manager and Executive Assistant.

  • Responsibilities include:

    • Identify and secure partnerships in each sector

    • Lead individual, corporate, and foundation communications

      • Write letters, proposals, emails, and all communications and correspondence needed to grow the organization

      • Schedule meetings and/or calls with individuals and organizations

    • Document via video and in written form the work of the Institute and its staff, Fellows, etc.

      • Strong ability to create and edit video content for high-level publication and utilization

    • Manage and grow the Institute’s social media platforms

      • Work with staff in developing content

      • Utilize graphic design skills

    • Oversee the CRM and related activity

    • Develop and manage seasonal campaigns

    • Support leadership with special projects tied to growth and visibility

    • Travel

      • Expect to travel nationally and internationally as needed

        • Travel will occur with executive staff members or on your own

      • If working remotely, travel to the Florida office at least once per quarter for team meetings

    Skills and Experience:

    • Minimum five years in the marketing and/or development field

    • Excellent writing and editing skills

    • Comfort with social media platforms and newer technologies

    • Desire to work in a fast-paced organization

    • Ability to work effectively in a group or on your own

    • Work with a high level of organization and follow-through

  • Responsibilities include:

    • Work closely with the Senior Executive Assistant and the Executive Director on all aspects of the Institute

    • Work 20 set hours each week, Monday - Friday, and also be available off hours and days for communications or work that arises

    • Draft communications for the Executive team

      • e.g., emails, letters

    • Assist with all event planning, at the home office and when the Institute is holding remote events

    • Organize meetings, webinars, and other gatherings

    • Accompany staff on select travel and meetings

      • U.S. and worldwide

    • There is a preference for the EA to be on-site in Florida, but we are open to hiring someone to work remotely, as well.

      • If working remotely, travel to the Florida office at least once per quarter

    Skills and Experience:

    • Excellent writing and editing skills

    • Strong organizational skills

    • Event management

    • Enthusiasm and ability for a high degree of adaptability in the work

    • Zest for the subject matter of the Institute

    • Desire to work in a faster-paced organization

    • Ability to work effectively and cooperatively in a group and efficiently on your own

    • High degree of familiarity and comfort with current technologies
